The Word Clock Watch Face

The Word Clock is a word clock watch face for Wear OS, built in Google's Watch Face Format. The time is written out in words - Ten, Oh, Eight - with the weekday and the date above it and the seconds, or your battery, below. Fifteen clock styles, three layouts and twenty-seven colors.

FIFTEEN CLOCK STYLES

- Readout: clean rounded letters, the style the face starts with
- Retro: outlined serif letters, like an old shop sign
- Dots: letters built from dots, like a dot-matrix board
- Digi: segment digits in capitals, like a digital readout
- Flame: letters licked by flames
- Bamboo: capitals built from bamboo stalks
- ThreeD: block letters with a three-dimensional edge
- Focal: blackletter, like an old manuscript
- Leak: dripping letters
- Cap: lined capitals, the first letter large
- Boots: western slab letters
- Sticks: hollow letters built from sticks
- Neon: letters drawn as neon tubes
- Script: a flowing brush script
- Glitch: letters torn by a glitch

To switch, touch and hold the face, tap Customize, then Style.

THREE LAYOUTS

- Seconds: the weekday and the date, the time, and the seconds in words
- Battery: the weekday and the date, the time, and your battery as a bar and a word
- Bold: the time alone in big words - the hour and the minute's first word at the left edge, their second words at the right, filling the glass
- Touch and hold the face, tap Customize, then Layout

TWENTY-SEVEN COLORS

- Twenty-seven color sets, each one tinting the hour, the minutes and the small lines in its own shades
- Touch and hold the face, tap Customize, then Color

TAP A LINE

- The weekday and the date open your calendar; the battery bar and word open the battery screen

A premium style you have not unlocked is covered by a black panel when you wear it, showing Premium in gold, the style's name in its own lettering, the live time in words and Tap to unlock.

HOW TO UNLOCK

1. Install the free Watcholate Watch Faces app on your phone, and on your watch - the phone app opens the right page on the watch for you.
2. Open The Word Clock in the phone app and make the one-time purchase, handled by Google Play.
3. The premium styles unlock on your watch within a second or two.

The purchase is tied to your Google account: it covers every watch you sign in to and comes back after a reset or on a new watch.

ALWAYS-ON

Pure black, with only the hour and the minute words lit, in your style and color. ThreeD, Leak, Boots and Glitch draw their letters as outlines there, so only a small part of the screen is lit.

12 OR 24 HOURS

The words follow your watch's 12-hour or 24-hour setting: Four Thirty Four, or Sixteen Thirty Four.
