Pukyu helps water well drillers, hydrogeologists, and pump installers analyze drawdown and recovery data from constant-rate and step-drawdown pumping tests. Enter readings manually or import logger files to estimate aquifer transmissivity and storativity, a pumping rate for a chosen operating period, and pump intake depth.
WHY FIELD TEAMS USE PUKYU
• Analyze pumping tests directly on site without needing a computer or internet connection.
• Fit standard analytical aquifer models to estimate hydraulic parameters.
• Estimate pumping discharge rates for target operational durations and entered margins.
• Calculate recommended pump intake depth while maintaining clear safety margins above screens and dynamic water levels.
• Export professional PDF summary reports ready to share with clients and project teams.
KEY FEATURES
• Constant-rate test analysis: Match drawdown observations to Theis, Cooper-Jacob, Hantush-Jacob (leaky aquifer), and Neuman (unconfined with delayed gravity yield) analytical models.
• Step-drawdown test analysis: Calculate well efficiency, laminar aquifer loss, and turbulent well-loss coefficients (B and C parameters).
• Diagnostic log-log derivative curves: Inspect Bourdet derivative plots to identify aquifer boundaries, recharge, and leakage effects.
• Flexible data input: Fast manual entry for manual dip-meter readings, or CSV import from automatic water-level loggers.
• Automatic unit handling: Support for metric and imperial units (meters, feet, cubic meters per day, liters per second, gallons per minute).
• PDF reporting: Generate clean, shareable summary reports with diagnostic plots, parameter estimates, and operational recommendations.
HYDRAULIC SCOPE
Pukyu evaluates well hydraulics, aquifer performance, and mechanical pump placement margins. It does not analyze water chemistry or evaluate whether water is safe for drinking.
Results depend on the readings, selected model, operating period and test conditions. They are estimates, not a permanent yield guarantee, an engineering certificate or a water permit. Model fit alone cannot establish site safety; review the displayed confidence and limits before applying a result.
YOUR WELL RECORDS
Keep well measurements and analysis together on your device. Share a PDF report when you choose, or delete a well project from the project list.
