iShredder: Secure Data Eraser

Securely delete the photos and files you no longer want on your Android phone. iShredder is a data eraser and file shredder that puts you in control: choose sensitive documents, private pictures, videos or folders, then select an overwrite method. You can also wipe unused storage to help reduce accessible traces of files you deleted earlier.

FIND FILES WITH THE BUILT-IN EXPLORER
Browse accessible storage and choose photos, videos, PDFs, downloads and folders. Check file names and locations before starting, especially when a folder contains both important originals and unwanted copies. Supported internal storage and SD cards can be processed within the access your Android device allows.

ADDRESS FILES YOU ALREADY DELETED
File deletion and an unused-space wipe do different jobs. The wipe writes temporary data into available storage to help reduce accessible remnants of earlier files. Choose it when sensitive content has already been removed and you want to process unused storage where traces may remain.
Available space temporarily decreases during this operation. Let the process finish and check the result. This function protects privacy; it does not increase your phone's storage capacity. If interrupted, review the operation's status and cleanup instructions.

CHOOSE HOW TO OVERWRITE
Methods vary by edition and include single-pass and multi-pass options, with choices such as DoD 5220.22-M. Match the method to your task and storage. Processing time depends on the amount of data and the number of passes. More passes do not automatically deliver a better result on every device. Confirm the selected targets before you start.

KEEP AN ERASURE RECORD
Reporting options in supported editions document completed operations. Save a report for a device handover, a shared phone, a work checklist or your personal records. It describes the selected process and helps you keep track of what you did.

The March 2026 DEKRA MASA L1 validation assessed iShredder Android 7.2.3 against selected OWASP MASVS app-security requirements. Separately, iShredder received the Fortress Cybersecurity Award 2025.

ANDROID STORAGE AND PRIVACY
Access and results depend on permissions, encryption, flash storage and device support. An app cannot guarantee access to every physical flash cell or other apps' private data.
