Lock photos with your own pattern
One pattern opens your personal photos. Another opens a separate vault for other files. With Hidewell Pro, each pattern leads straight to its own private space. The unlock screen never displays a list of your vaults.

Capture directly into your photo vault
Take photos and record videos directly into your encrypted vault with the built-in camera. Your recordings go straight into Hidewell without first being saved to your phone's gallery.

Watch videos inside your private vault
Watch videos directly from your vault. Hidewell decrypts only the chunks needed for playback, so you can start watching without waiting for the whole file to be decrypted. Playback does not create a decrypted video file on your device.

A panic pattern that opens a dummy vault
With Hidewell Pro, set up a dummy vault with content you choose. Drawing its panic pattern opens that vault and erases the local unlock keys to every other vault on the device. Existing cloud backups remain recoverable with your recovery phrase.

Organize your private gallery
Import photos, videos, and documents, then organize them with albums and tags. Browse your collection and open photos inside your vault. When importing existing files, you choose whether to remove the originals; copies outside Hidewell are not protected by your vault.

Encrypted storage, even offline
Your files and thumbnails are protected with AES-256 encryption. Hidewell locks when you switch to another app and hides its content in the recent-apps preview. Create and use your local vault offline, without a Hidewell account. Cloud backup requires an internet connection.

Open source and audited
The encryption core that protects your vaults is open source and audited. Anyone can read the code and the security review on GitHub at hidewell-oss/hidewell-core.

Your backup. Your recovery words.
Choose encrypted backup to your own Google Drive. Your 12-word recovery phrase lets you restore backed-up vaults and reset a forgotten pattern. Keep those words somewhere safe: anyone with the phrase and access to your backup can restore it.

Hidewell includes a free tier with an item limit. Hidewell Pro adds more vaults, panic patterns, disguised app icons, and removes the free tier's item limit. Monthly, yearly, and lifetime options are shown in the app with current prices. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play.
