CleanVault: Photo Cleaner

CleanVault is a photo cleaner that helps you free up storage. It finds duplicate photos, similar shots, screenshots and large videos, lets you swipe through your gallery, and keeps private photos in a PIN-locked private space. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.

HOW IT WORKS
• Scan your library in the Tidy tab. A storage ring shows what is used, what is free and how much you could free up
• Open a category, check the suggestions and add what you don't need to the delete basket
• Confirm once in the basket. Where your phone has a system trash (Android 11 and later), items go there first and can still be restored

TIDY
• Similar photos: retakes and near-identical shots, grouped by an image model that runs on your phone
• Duplicate photos: exact copies of the same picture
• Screenshots, large videos and similar videos
• In every group of duplicate or similar photos, CleanVault suggests the one to keep and always keeps at least one
• Search photos by what they show (dog, beach, food) or by English and Chinese text in them. Your phone reads them in the background while it is plugged in and idle
• Find similar: pick one photo, see the ones like it
• Video compression (Pro): see the estimated size first; the original goes to the basket only after you confirm

SWIPE
• Every photo and video in one grid or list, with filters (photos, videos, screenshots, favorites, not seen, in basket), albums, sorting and a month scrubber
• Tap for a full-screen viewer that plays videos as you scroll
• Drag left to put a photo in the basket. Drag right and up to copy it into the private space, or right and down to move it in; the original goes to the basket only after the encrypted copy is checked
• Hold any thumbnail for a radial menu: select, view, find similar, locate, hide, info, favorite
• Undo your last steps

PRIVATE SPACE
• Hide photos and videos in a private gallery, encrypted on your phone and opened with a 4-digit PIN or your fingerprint
• Each import is read back and checked before the original can be deleted
• Forgot the PIN? A recovery code gets you back in. We do not have your key
• Sync your own devices on the same Wi-Fi, or make an encrypted backup to a folder you choose

STORAGE
• See how much space each app takes and which apps you have not opened for a month or more, then uninstall through the system's own confirmation. This needs usage access, which you grant in system settings

PRIVACY
• No account and no analytics of our own. Ads appear only in Swipe and after a clean-up, never next to your hidden photos
• Photos are scanned on your phone and never uploaded. We have no servers
• The app goes online for store purchases and ads, which are not personalized. Google's billing, ad and QR scanner components send diagnostic information to Google. Sync stays on your local network

GOOD TO KNOW
• CleanVault tidies photos and videos. It does not clear other apps' caches or files
• Before Android 11 there is no system trash, so deletions are final. How long the trash keeps items depends on your phone
• Search needs Android 10 or later
• Your private files live only on your devices. Keep a backup
