Tategaki Zen shows the time the way Japanese is traditionally written: in kanji, set vertically from top to bottom ("tategaki"). Ten past ten, for example, reads as 十時十分, stacked in a single quiet column on the face. A fine divider and a muted date column sit on the right, and a small red seal adds a single accent.
