About this app

How fast is your phone really charging? Charge Meter shows the live charging current in mA, so you can see which charger and cable charge your phone fastest, and how your battery is doing.

LIVE CHARGE METER
• A live red and green meter: green while power flows in, red while the phone uses it
• Current in mA, power in watts and the speed in plain words: Slow, Normal, Fast, Very fast, Super fast or Ultra fast
• Watch the charge flow: the faster it charges, the faster the meter moves
• The scale adapts to every charger, from a computer's USB port to 160 W fast chargers
• Reacts the moment you plug in or unplug
• Battery level counted live, to three decimals

FIND THE FASTEST CHARGER AND CABLE
Plug in one charger, then another, and compare the current. A worn cable or a weak charger shows up straight away.

BATTERY HEALTH AND CAPACITY
• Real battery capacity (mAh), measured by Charge Meter on your phone as you use and charge it
• Battery health as a percentage, and how much capacity the battery has lost to wear
• How much charge is in the battery right now, counted live
• Charge cycles: from your phone where it shares them, otherwise estimated by Charge Meter

TIME LEFT
• Time until full, and the time it will be full
• Time left on battery and when it will run out
• Charging and discharging speed in % per hour

EVERY READING EXPLAINED
Tap any reading for a detail screen with a simple scale, the lowest and highest since you opened the app, and what it means for your battery:
• Temperature, with a check that your phone is cooling down
• Voltage, level, power, charging status, charger type, health, technology and charge cycles

REMINDERS AND NOTIFICATION
• Charging reminder: a nudge to unplug at a level you choose, to help your battery last longer
• Low battery reminder: a nudge to plug in before it runs out
• An optional live notification shows the current, and can also show on your lock screen

DESIGN
• Clean, modern design with light and dark themes
• Available in 23 languages

PREMIUM
• No ads
• Home screen widgets: current, level, temperature and voltage, as a card or transparent
• Picture-in-picture: keep the meter on screen while you use other apps
• Choose your own reminder levels

GOOD TO KNOW
The charging current depends on:
• The charger (USB port, wall charger or wireless) and the cable
• Your phone model and its battery's health
• What the phone is doing: screen brightness, apps running, Wi-Fi, mobile data and GPS
• The battery level: lithium batteries charge fastest when low and slow down as they fill, to protect themselves. A low current near 100% is normal.

Some phones report the current less precisely than others. Charge Meter works out the right units for your phone, and everything it shows comes from your phone's own battery readings.

Works well and great live data. Bottom of screen is cropped a few pixels too short, so the words on the last row are still legible, but for example if there was the capital letter 'L' on the bottom row, if the horizontal part was 4 pixels tall everywhere else, then it's only 2 pixels tall on the bottom row. Super minor thing that does not effect usability at all, nor does it even effect ability to read labels on that row... just an OCD thing I noticed as FYI item.

This app has an odd bug. Works in my car perfectly on my fast charger. However, when I get back home and plug it in, phone doesn't charge at all, UNTIL I do a 'force stop' on the app, then it starts to charge again perfectly! I have no idea what causes this, and the 1st few times it happened I restarted the phone to get it going, till I diagnosed this 'cure'. Phone runs Android 10.

not accurate. Reports battery is fully charged when it is not. Also, readings such as battery time remaining jump around way too much, making it hard to read. From second to second the value can jump by HOURS instantly and constantly changes. The reading is almost useless as a result. Should use at least some kind of smoothing algorithm to make these values more stable.
