About this ebook

Four funny fantasy adventures follow an independent princess who trades dull royal lessons for fencing, Latin, and life with dragons.

Collected together for the first time in a digital format are Patricia C. Wrede's hilarious adventure stories about Cimorene, the princess who refuses to be proper.

The chronicles follow Cimorene into the Mountains of Morning, a spirited royal who volunteers for dragons instead of suffering through embroidery. The author surrounds this heroine with talking frogs, flustered knights, and parents who offer half the kingdom to anyone who will rescue her.

The Enchanted Forest introduces a delightfully unconventional king whose rambunctious woods shift borders without warning, confound invading wizards, and spark a lively saga.

Every one of Cimorene's adventures is included—Dealing with Dragons, Searching for Dragons, Calling on Dragons, and Talking to Dragons—in a single ebook.

  • Dragon Fantasy: Cimorene happily cooks gourmet batches of cherries jubilee for the dragon Kazul, restores order to untidy treasure hoards, and brews fireproofing potions to protect against dragon breath.

  • Fractured Fairy Tales: Classic storybook conventions turn upside down as a practical witch named Morwen dispenses no-nonsense advice alongside nine opinionated cats who critique every visitor.

  • Humorous Fantasy: From captive princesses who can only spin straw into ordinary linen thread to a stone prince searching for a noble quest, witty twists challenge traditional fairy-tale expectations.

  • Quest Adventure: Deep inside the subterranean Caves of Fire and Night, perilous labyrinths and humming stones test whether rightful leaders can thwart power-hungry sorcerers.

  • Also by This Author: Book of Enchantments.

BUYER BEWARE!! The book is a great book. However, the 1 star is because Google sells this title with DRM software, making it impossible to read the book that you have purchased on a Kindle (and presumably on a Nook as well, although I do not own one of those, so I did not try it.) It is absurd that Google will restrict the formats in which I can read a book that I have purchased from them.

This is my favorite book ever!! Its easy to fall into the world Patricia C Wreds creates as you follow the adventures of a not so proper princess and her friends including a no nonsense dragon, a quirky wizard, a nonconventional witch and her brood of chatty cats, along with an overworked underaaged magical King, an unfortunate gigantic blue rabbit and many more....

Some kids at my school asked me why I always have my nose in a book instead of playing volleyball with them. I told them that if they had ever read anything good instead of just 'big nate', they'd know.
