About this ebook

Harriet has finally met the man of her dreams—the one she’s always imagined herself marrying.

A three-week holiday to the quiet town of Franeker promises a restful break from her busy hospital wards, but crossing paths with her friend’s formidable partner changes everything. But the very attractive Dr. Friso Eijsinck always seems to be surrounded by pretty girls.

Little does she realize that every shared trip across the windswept countryside will only draw her deeper into his orbit. Harriet begins to feel that, as far as Friso is concerned, she is merely one of many.

From assisting at a stormy midnight delivery in a flooded cottage to sailing together across Sneekermeer, Harriet finds herself falling hopelessly in love.

Yet beneath his cool grey eyes and teasing banter lies a stubborn devotion that refuses to let her slip away. What she doesn’t understand is that Friso has also met the woman of his dreams, and he will do whatever it takes to make her his bride!
  • Clean Romance: Between early morning ward duties at St Nick’s Hospital and calming a tearful toddler named Atse during a surgery visit, Harriet proves herself every bit as capable as she is lovely.
  • Forced Proximity: Sharing quiet moments in Dr. Van Minnen’s home and taking in a scruffy rescue dog named Moses brings Harriet into daily contact with the enigmatic doctor.
  • Slow Burn: Across grand Dutch parlours and manicured gardens, Friso courts Harriet with understated care and an ancient Friesian vow of enduring devotion.
  • Also by This Author: Damsel in Green, Visiting Consultant and The Course of True Love.
