This book did a phenomenal job in illustrating the training of each aspect of Batman's fighting style. I really liked how in each form of training, Batman was also trained mentally and emotionally and in each chapter, he either lost someone, saw someone get injured or nearly die, got turned on, had to fight people he didn't want to fight, was tormented about his past or had to face things about himself that he didn't want to. Anton is a very complex and mysterious character, which makes sense why he'd be revealed as this psycopath who only does good because its more challenging. This issue had a multitude of amazing characters like Ducard, Rais, Talia, Daniel, Lucy, Zatanna and so many others that made the story more compelling and gave it more emotional depth. This story really made Batman feel like the badass that he would eventually get from the moment he dawned the cowl and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get into Batman.
