About this ebook

She was certain of one thing…

Sophy’s relationship with the attractive Dutch surgeon Maximillan Oosterwelde was of the blow-hot-blow-cold variety. He might be unsure of his feelings for her, but one thing she knew for sure—in her heart, Sophy did not want any “blow cold” at all!

As sister in charge of a busy London operating theatre, Sophy was used to difficult men, but the Dutchman was impossible to predict. The distinguished consultant seemed to view her merely as a colleague, yet his unexpected kindness left her thoroughly flustered.

When a disastrous fire damaged her London theatre, Max whisked her away to Holland to assist his team. Working in his modern clinic offered a welcome challenge, but keeping her feelings safely detached proved entirely impossible.

One bustling London household of orphaned siblings, and one very determined Dutch surgeon.
  • Medical Romance: Operating under dim emergency lights while firemen battle flames in the corridor, Sophy never wavers at the Dutch surgeon’s side. Their seamless teamwork in theatre only deepens the unspoken bond between them.
  • Slow Burn: Between an impromptu dinner at Claridges and quiet drives through the London twilight, Max masks his feelings behind cool irony while Sophy tries desperately to stay detached.
  • Clean Romance: A tender, heartwarming courtship unfolds amid the cheerful chaos of Sophy’s home, surrounded by her orphaned siblings, a loyal former army batman, and an unruly dog named the Blot.
  • Also by This Author: Damsel in Green, The Course of True Love and Dearest Love.
