A fantastic book, historically accurate, if not a tad biased. The thoughts and feelings of America's premier WWI ace recorded for future generations.

I had just finished reading "Rickenbacher, an Autobiography" - Prentice-Hall, 1967, when I discovered "Fighting the flying circus"...I love them both...an amazing man, who led an amazing life...anyone, and everyone, who seeks encouragement in living this life to the fullest should read these books...perhaps not the greatest "author" in the world history of writers...but an amazing wonderful man to get to know...to use as a guide and an example of how to face and deal with life. Highly reccomended!!!

I wish he was still alive, we have lost a national treasure. Very easy book to read. I hated to finish it.
