“No one writes of sex and dark souls like MJ. Another engrossing waltz of hit women, lost loves and breathless action.” —Eric Jerome Dickey, author of Sleeping with Strangers and Waking with Enemies (both reaching #9 on the New York Times bestseller list in 2007)

Following the death of a minor league writer, a mysterious woman whose own past is full of contradictions is called in to investigate his life and to discover the lost manuscript of his memoirs, as they may incriminate VIPs. Her journey of discovery becomes a dazzling and a confusing exploration of the nature of autobiography and the awful grey zones between truth and the art of fiction. As she encounters all the women who knew him, she realizes every one has a different story to tell and the only thing they have in common is that the writer loved them all.

So who was he really? A man who was addicted to women? A romantic? A compulsive Don Juan? A serial adulterer? A pornographer? A lost soul? A liar? Does the book he is believed to have written even exist?

With every new revelation comes more questions.

Confessions continues the fast-paced excitement of the hard-bitten detective Martin Jackson and Cornelia, his beautiful stripper and hit-woman client introduced in iBooks' Skin In Darkness published in 2006.
