Flipper Huge is a digital watch face with a split-flap clock as big as the watch, two moving-scale gauges, the date and the weather, built like an instrument panel.
WHAT IT SHOWS
- The time on two big flip cards, following your phone's 12/24-hour setting
- Two gauges, above and below the clock: step goal, battery or chance of rain
- The date: day, weekday and month, in your phone's language
- A row of number drums: temperature with a weather icon, heart rate, chance of rain or unread notifications
THE CLOCK
The hours and minutes sit on stacked flip cards, the digits more than half the dial tall, split at the hinge like a real flip clock.
THE GAUGES
Above and below the cards runs a gauge band. The scale moves behind a fixed index, and a small square lens over the index magnifies the fine row so the exact value reads through it. The battery gauge marks its low zone below 20%.
THE DATE AND THE DRUMS
At the top, the date: the day on a coloured inlay, the weekday, and the month on its own plaque. At the bottom, a row of number drums: the current temperature with a realistic weather icon - sun, cloud, rain, snow, storm, fog, or the moon at night - or heart rate, chance of rain or unread notifications, each with its own icon.
THE DIAL
A ribbed crinkle-finish fascia with metal trims, and bands that run off both edges of the screen and fade into the fascia, as if one long scale passed behind the dial. Five themes change the whole dial.
Always-on keeps the flip cards and the full date - day, weekday and month - dimmed on black.
